You are probably aware by now that winter is almost upon us. Luckily we are not bears and we don't need to go into hibernation, neither do our trustworthy motorcycles. So why not take this opportunity to face the winter cold and join myself and other club members for a ride to the Klein Karoo. You will be rewarded with a warm welcome and a feast of food as only the people of the Klein Karoo can offer accompanied by some local produced "soetes" to help us fight the cold.

This will be trip where you can travel "light" as accommodation, bedding and most meals will be provided. The only snag is that you must take a half day's leave on Friday in order for us to leave early the Friday afternoon to make the most of the trip.

BASIC ITENARY:

Friday 14 July 2017:

- Meet at the Engen Winelands One Stop garage nest to the N1 at 14:00

- Briefing and departure will be at 1415.

- Ride to the venue will be an all tar ride, expect for the last stretch to the venue.

- Dinner will be a spread of homemade soup, variety of breads and of course some locally produced “soetes” will be to warm up the cold bodies after the ride to the venue.

Saturday 15 July 2017:

- 08:00 Coffee and rusks.

- You can relax at the venue, go and explore Prince Albert or the surrounding area or there will be a group ride depending on interest.

 - Breakfast, lunch- Each for own account.

- Dinner will be a spread of  of Karoo Lamb chops, boerewors, potato bake, salads, breads and desert.

Sunday 16 July 2017:

  • 08:00 Full buffet breakfast to be served
  • Depart at about 09:00
  • Head back home via some beautiful gravel roads.
