Trip to Die Hel

Hi All


Please join me for a ride to ‘Die Hel’ on 13 – 15 April 2018 ( This is not a BMW club event ) Please see changes to route below. This was done make the riding for Saturday a bit lighter


Friday - Leave Engen 1 stop – then to Prins Albert via Ceres or N1(negiotable) and straight to Die Hel. Sleep at the tented camps

Saturday – Leave die Hel – from die Hel via Swartberg pass towards Calitzdorp and fill up in Ladismith – continue to Koedoeskloof country lodge near Dwarsrivier for sleep over ( Gravel )

Sunday – Leave Koedoeskloof country lodge for Touws river(Gravel)




Day 1 – Die Hel (Gamkaskloof) Tented camps incl Dinner and breakfast


Day 2 – Koedoeskloof Country Lodge ( Breakfast included) approx. 168km from die Hel


Saturday will see us riding from ‘Die Hel’  to Koedoeskloof via Swartberg pass.




Accommodation: Room 1, 2 and 3

The room has a view of the distant Towerkop and has two single beds, luggage rack, wardrobe with hangers, small table and 2 chairs, coffee and tea tray, kettle & coffee plunger.

It has an en-suite bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower.

All linen is provided including towels, toilet paper, shampoo, soap, body wash and body lotion.

The room is suitable for 2 adults.

The rooms DOES NOT have self-catering facilities, thus no oven, microwave or fridge.

The room has its own entrance and is accessible from the parking area via 3 unsupported steps.

The room is not suitable for wheelchairs or people with mobility difficulties.


Room 4 has a double bed in and a bath (no shower) and all of the above in it.


For dinner you can choose between one of our homemade gourmet burgers. The full menu can be viewed on our website, (Other meals on request)


Day 3


After breakfast on Sunday we will depart towards Touwsrivier and make our way back home.

R 1 250,00 per person for the weekend.

I know you want confirmation, but for now we are two riders that will most likely join in.

Hi Thank you for the interest shown. The confirmation is mainly for the accommodation etc. I might have to change the trip some what as the Saturday will be a long day of riding. Watch this post for any changes
