First breakfast run, first group ride, longest single trip ride on my new-ish bike.

This is more of me saying how much I enjoyed my first ever Breakfast Run and group ride and a thank you thana trip report.

For the unbelievers: my bike can finish a ride [Lambert’s Bay]

This trip has been written up already, so this report is more a “bits-and-pieces” piece on all the interesting things that happened from my perspective.

I think Geoff may have been nervous about me and Lance joining his group on the Lambert’s Bay ride, given our track record on the last 3 rides with him:

[Bmw Motorrad Club Cape Town – Lambert’s bay overnighter – 10 & 11/02/2018]

Waking up on a Monday morning after a weekend like the one we just had, it feels almost insignificant to have to get dressed in clean clothes, drink coffee from a dust free coffee mug and put on a computer to download emails and enter the adult world of a routine based day. Just yesterday we were covered in dust, never minded by bad hair and dirty clothes, yet the feeling was one that money couldn’t buy and the thrill was child-like. Today we adult again.

Lamberts Bay Overnight Ride / Tar / Dirt / 10 Feb 2018

2018/02/10 08:00

Our first overnight ride for 2018 takes us to Lamberts Bay on 10 February 2018 with dinner at the truly amazing Muisbosskerm beach restaurant.  If you haven’t been to Muisbosskerm, now is your chance, and what better way to do it than include it on a bike trip.

Misadventures on a mystery ride

This is a story of a disastrous weekend for Lance and me. It included a crash and a forced overnight bike abandonment. Yet the whole experience, aside from the fear and the frustration, left me with the knowledge that we are surrounded by and incredible number of incredible people, whom are willing to help out beyond the point of what we’d consider reasonable.
