Website Domain

Charles Oertel's picture
I have registered an additional website domain for our club site: '''''' It is easier to remember and type: # '''BMW''' '''M'''''otor'' '''C'''''ycle'' '''C'''''lub'' '''C'''''ape'' # '''.org''' because we are a non-profit organization, not a ''co''mpany # '''.za''' because this is where we live The other domain, '' will remain active, so you don't need to do anything different. But next time you are away from your usual PC and need to type in the club web address, just type in ''''''.

Unlicensed Riders

JohandeJager's picture
Dear Member, Over the past months, member numbers have swelled considerably. It is particularly exciting to see younger members and families participating in events and rides. With the growth of the BMW models appealing to a wider, younger and diverse audience, we're eager to see how the membership mix will come to complement our continued growth and enjoyment. To this end, so too do the responsibilities on the committee and members increase. A younger, more spirited rider can add excitement to a sport ride, yet to a more mature rider, in fact, alienate him or her from the club. So, along these lines we need to pay cognisance to the growing need and changing membership and ensure a continued safe, enjoyable and engaging relationship with the club and the members.

Mystery Weekend

Charles Oertel's picture
(This email is on the forum at ) Judging by the success of this past Sundays combined road/off road Mystery tour Brian Messenger and I have decided that the Club members enjoy a mystery. A bit like the petrol price is a mystery, interest rates are a mystery and who runs our country is a mystery!! So with all these mysteries surrounding us we are going to take the "roadies" and the "dirties" on a "Mystery" weekend ride. Not just any mystery but to a nice Country Hotel, with a beautiful pool, nice little Bar and scrumptious meals that will have you feeling like the Michelin Man!! At night you will retire to your comfortable room for a good nights rest. The "dirties" might be lucky enough to even get a massage.

Charles Oertel's picture
[ Event Calendar Notice] To those that have already indicated an interest after our Stilbaai ride please reconfirm your attendance 14-16 June, long weekend. The BMW M/C Club invites you on our first West Coast Tour of 2008 from '''14-16th June 2008'''. This trip has always been the most popular tour we arrange so you will need to book early to avoid disappointment! The plan for this trip is an early departure on the Saturday morning from CT and head towards Citrusdal then towards Klawer via some dirt sections. From Klawer we would head to Van Rhynsdorp for lunch (own expense) then towards Bitterfontein then via the back roads to Kotzesrus and from here to the coast and to Silwerdoos, arriving late afternoon.
