Thinking of selling my BMW R50, (I think its a '67 model could be earlier) last ran 2 years ago, carburetors need attention as the internals of the LH carb are badly worn. The bike is mostly complete but missing period mirrors and indicators, the indicator switch is broken. Bike has 2 seats, original and spring saddle.
Any ideas or opinion on the value would be appreciated.

The bike is licensed and registered in my name but not roadworthy, and the license has been renewed annually.
Matching frame and engine number.

Thanks

Max, I think your bike is round about the earlier 1960's, judging by the air filter housing. I am busy redoing my '66  at the moment, not a full restoration but giving me great pleasure. The determining price is what somebody is prepared to pay, there are stacks of R 50's around some in good to great condition and others totally shagged. Not seeing your bike in the flesh and your comments about the condition, R25,0 to R35,0K, Carbs are still freely available, at a cost, of course, as are most other parts. Indicators were an option. Keep it and create a restoration project, keeps you out of mischief.laugh
