You and your partner/guests are invited to join Me and our fellow Club Members on a ride to the beautiful Rooiberg Lodge situated outside Van Wyks Dorp in the Kannaland area of the Little Karoo.

All bikes welcome.

Dates : 27th April to 1st May

The outrides are optional. You can join them on your own or with your partner. Your partner is however welcome to to stay and relax at the Lodge as are you.

If you stay at the Lodge for the day then lunch is for your own expense.

Itinerary :

All rides on well used dirt roads.

  • Day 1: Easy dirt road ride to Rooiberg Lodge on well used dirt roads. 55/45 Dirt Tar.
  • Day 2: Seweweeks Poort and a visit to the Gamkaskloof Dam. 65/35 Dirt Tar.
  • Day 3: Visit Mossel Bay and back to the Lodge. 50/50 Dirt Tar.
  • Day 4: Swartberg Pass and "Die Hell" if time permits. 60/40 Dirt Tar.
  • Day 5: Dirt & Tar back to Cape Town.

The plan is that the ride up to Rooiberg and our return will be very straight forward on well used dirt roads. Plan is not to leave too early have a nice easy ride up arriving mid afternoon.

If your partners don't want to ride up with you on the bike they are welcome to drive up and meet us at the Lodge. There is a good 44km (Ladismith side) or 52km (Riversdal side) dirt road to the Lodge.

Our accommodation is in the "Loft" section of the Lodge. Unfortunately all rooms only have single beds but they can be pushed together if necessary.

The bathroom and rest rooms are in the downstairs sector of the loft. These are immaculately kept with numerous Showers and toilets with bath's as well. Price R600.00 PP per night DB&B.

The Lodge has a big swimming pool and lovely Bar/Lounge/Restaurant area here we will socialize and have 2 dinners. The other two meals will be in the form of a fantastic "Braai" in the "Lapa" area. We will braai ourselves.

The lovely cottages are unfortunately not available for the Friday night but are available from the Saturday. The cottages comprise of 2 bedrooms one with a shower and one with a bath and a lounge/kitchen area with fridge etc. Price R750.00 PP per night DB&B.

If interested in this option you can spend the first night in the "Loft" then move to the cottages on the Saturday.
